Hello, I’m Kim — Chu’s human, a.k.a. “cat butler.” 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by Chu’s Days.

This blog began with a simple wish: to document the time I’ve shared with my cat Jiwoo (better known as Chu), who’s almost three years old now.

Our story with Chu began when she was about one year old. She originally belonged to a friend of mine, and we agreed to look after her while they were away on a long trip. Their children had already shown signs of cat allergies and had been taking medication for over a year, but sometime during Chu’s second year, the older child’s symptoms worsened and developed into asthma. With no other option, they had to find a new home for Chu — and that’s when she came to us.

As a first-time cat parent, I was full of questions and uncertainties at first. I wanted to give Chu the happiest life possible, so I spent hours reading, researching, and learning what it means to care for a cat.

Honestly, our hearts were already open to her long before she officially became part of our family. The moment she stepped into our home, it just felt right — like she had been meant to stay.

Through this blog, I hope to share those discoveries — the helpful tips, the funny moments, and the little joys that come from living with a furry companion.
If you’re a new or soon-to-be cat parent, I hope my stories can offer you a bit of comfort and guidance.

블로그 Chu’s Days에 오신 걸 환영합니다!

이곳은 이제 곧 세 살이 되는 고양이 지우, 별명은 **쭈(Chu)**와 함께한 순간들을 기록하고 싶은 마음에서 시작하게 되었어요.
쭈와의 인연은 쭈 1살 때부터입니다. 원래는 친구네 고양이였는데, 친구가 장기간 여행을 떠날 때 저희가 잠시 돌보게 되었어요. 사실 그 이전부터 친구 아이들에게 고양이 알레르기 증상이 있었고, 1년 넘게 약을 복용하며 지내던 중 큰아이의 증상이 심해지면서 천식으로 진행되었어요. 입양처를 고민하던 친구의 상황 속에서, 자연스럽게 저희가 쭈를 맡게 되었답니다.

처음엔 저도 초보 집사였고, 하나부터 열까지 다 새롭고 궁금한 것 투성이였죠. 행복한 묘생을 만들어주고 싶은 마음에 여기저기서 정보를 찾고, 조심스럽게 배워가며 쭈와 함께 시간을 쌓아왔어요. 사실 쭈를 임시로 돌볼 때부터 이미 마음은 열려 있었던 것 같아요. 정식으로 가족이 된 건 그때였지만, 마음은 이미 그보다 훨씬 전부터 함께였죠.

이 블로그에서는 그런 경험들을 나누고 싶습니다.
고양이를 키우며 느꼈던 감정, 도움이 되었던 정보들, 소소한 일상 속의 웃음들까지— 초보 집사분들, 그리고 고양이를 가족으로 맞이하고 싶은 분들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되는 공간이 되었으면 해요. 쭈의 이야기, 앞으로 함께해 주세요 🐾
